The following form is REQUIRED to be completed in order to reserve your space(s) on one of our trips. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Group Leaders: Please read this form and complete the attached roster list with additional guest information. It is the responsibility of the trip leader to provide all members of the group with the information included in this document. Complete roster will be due at time of final payment.
Deposit: Rafting / Family / Fishing; $500.00 / person
Deposit: Row Your Own ‘Basic’; $200.00 /person OR Row Your Own ‘Complete’; $300.00 / person
Reservation Policy: We can only guarantee a reservation upon receipt of a deposit for each seat and this signed RESERVATION FORM. Final invoices will be emailed in February and payments are due in March.
Cancellation Policy: Your deposit is non-refundable. Your final trip balance is non-refundable within 150 days of your trip departure. Because of this penalty, we hope you will purchase trip insurance. Your payment is not transferable to the following river season. However, you may substitute members of your party with no penalty. If you can find another trip date within the same river season, you may switch trips. If you need to cancel or make a substitution, please give us a call and drop us an email. We will make a full effort to fill your spaces for a partial refund. Once you sign up for a trip, we lose the right to sell your reserved seats to other individuals or groups. Our number of trips and seats are limited by the United States Forest Service.
Trip Cancellation Insurance: Trip cancellation and vacation/interruption insurance is available through AIG Travel Guard, Travelex, American Express and others. We STRONGLY recommend trip cancellation insurance.
Liability Waiver: Each participant will need to sign a ” Assumption of Risk” form in order to go on the river trip. This form will be sent via email for a digital signature upon receipt of final payment. Children under 18 will need a guardian to sign for them.
Medical Questionnaire Form: Each participant will need to fill out a medical questionnaire. This form will be sent via email for a digital signature upon receipt of final payment. It is recommended that you consult your doctor about the advisability of doing a wilderness whitewater trip. If you have specific concerns regarding a heath condition and / or dietary needs that you would like to discuss prior to sending in your deposit, please don’t hesitate to contact us via telephone and/or email.
Row Your Own Addendum: All participants on a “Row Your Own” trip will need to complete an addendum to the Liability Waiver in order to participate.
Selway River / Participant Age Requirements: Our general rule of thumb for participation is an age minimum of 14 and maximum of 85. If you feel your situation is unique and warrants a discussion for a consideration of variance, we will be happy to have this conversation with you.
Salmon River / Participant Age Requirements: Minimum age: 6 / Max 90 with doctor authorization.
Free Flowing Rivers: The Selway & Salmon Rivers are free flowing with a large range of runnable flows. Our trip dates occur well within the historical window of good runnable flows. With that said, high and low water operational protocols do exist.
High Water: It is our full intention and interest to run all trips yet it is our responsibility to maintain a high level of safety. High water cancellations are rare. If the conditions pose a threat, we study the NOAA data, communicate with guests, and make decisions as expeditiously as possible. This is an unpredictable act of nature with multiple possible scenarios. An additional reason for trip insurance.
Low Water: Low water flows may deem the upper 15 miles of the Selway not runnable and will necessitate flying in and starting your trip from Shearer air field along the Selway River. The cost of the air charter is NOT included in the price of the trip. The cost for this flight is $200.00 per person. Low water on the Salmon river will not impact the ability to run the trip.
Smoke & Fires: Wildfires are natural. In extreme fire seasons river corridors have been closed to rafting. In this event trips will have to be cancelled. An additional reason for trip insurance.
Evacuations; In the rare instance of an evacuation the inured party is responsible for all costs associated. Life Flight insurance is available. As guides we follow the Wilderness First Responder protocols for emergencies.
Food: Our food is hearty and healthy including some locally sourced & wild meats, quality dairy, dutch oven cooking, & veggies and salads. We are happy to accommodate Vegetarians and Gluten intolerances. Full charter vegan is an option at an additional cost.
Invoices: We can send invoices to the group leader, to each family, or to each individual. Whichever you you choose. Invoices are sent via email unless you request otherwise.
Payments: All payments shall be made in the form of an E-check (ACH) or personal check. Credit Cards will be accepted with a 3% surcharge.
